AX Armani Exchange Milan suffered a big injury blow learning that its top scorer Shavon Shields will be sidelined for foreseeable future. Shields broke his forearm in the final minutes of Milan’s Round 16 loss against Real Madrid, and is set to miss extended time. „Shields suffered a fracture of the right radius with capsuloligamentous involvement“, club said in a statement on Saturday. „Further specialist evaluations will be needed to determine prognosis and therapeutic strategy.“
Starter in all 16 games this season, Shields is Milan’s only double-digit scorer with 12.6 points, and also ranks third with 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists, playing a team-high 30 minutes per game. Milan also has big man Dinos Mitoglou out long term after he underwent foot surgery.
